I began webdesigned when I was 11. It all started on xanga. However, I only properly started teaching myself codes when I was around 13. I started learning from lissaexplains (it's awesome, I really recommend it. I still use it two years later =]). I had LOADS of websites on freewebs, piczo, angelfire, geocities, etc. The main thing I leant, though, was nothing happens overnight. It's taken me 2 years to go this far, and I still have TONS yet to learn.
One of my main passions is making fan sites. I first began by helping out at an Alex Pettyfer site - I still work there. Then I helped out with other sites and created graphics for some. Then I decided to run my own fan site of Ed Speleers. It went well for some time. Unfortunately, I had too much work so I had to give it up, but I can easily say it was very successful. Now I'm helping my boyfriend on an Enter Shikari fansite.
I only started making graphics when I began RPing. Your character on any board has to have an avatar and usually a signature. So I forced myself to learn how to make a graphic. This has definitely taken its time! I started off with Paint, then found versions of Photoshop from different friends. Now it's become like breathing to me. As soon as I log on to my computer, I have to make a graphic. I love it so much. Yes, I'll put my hands up, I'm sad! But truthfully, you really do have to be dedicated to succeed in this all.
